A report recently published in the Guardian, revealing the statistics uncovered after 2,000 parents and their children between the ages of 5 and 15 were interviewed, has brought the conclusion that parents have forgotten how to play with their offspring in a creative and exciting way. The survey, conducted as part of the State of Play, Back to Basics report, had many admitting that they struggle to find engaging and original things to do during playtime, preferring instead to resort to computer games- either sitting their children in front of them to entertain themselves, or sometimes picking up a controller and joining in too.
For us here at Perplexus, there is nothing better than getting our families around us, and working together to complete the levels- or indeed encouraging a bit of healthy competition and playing with separate toys. However you decide to use your family play time, we bet there’s nothing quite like using your brains and having fun at the simultaneously. Not only this, but you could even become role models for other families, getting them to think more creatively about how to get together and have fun.
For more information about Perplexus and the services we provide to get it to you, or if you’d like to share the original and creative ways in which you entertain your family, please do get in touch and one of our friendly team will be on the other end of the phone.
